What is tolerance?

This is the question that teachers discussed with their students giving age-appropriate examples. A skit by the students of Class 5 showed a scenario in which two students were choosing who to play with. The playground had students of different religions and varied socioeconomic backgrounds, which meant differences of caste, creed, faith, family dynamics and finances. The two students had to question their levels of tolerance for the differences they saw in the others. The International Day of Tolerance is celebrated the world over in the last week November.
